What is node.js?

Node JS is a runtime enviroment for JavaScript

In your own words, what is Chrome’s V8 JavaScript Engine?

The V8 engine is an open source JavaScript engine thats runs in Chrome. It’s focus was made with efficiency in mind.

What does it mean that node is a JavaScript runtime?

According to Nodejs.org “ Upon each connection, the callback is fired, but if there is no work to be done, Node.js will sleep.”

What is npm?

It is a package manager for Javascript, like an app store! :) What version of node are you running on your machine?

v18.8.0

What version of npm are you running on your machine? 8.18.0

What command would you type to install a library/package called ‘jshint’?

npm install -g jshint

What is node used for?

Used make a more efficent process of developing a modern JavaScript application.

In your experience, which of these reasons have you found most beneficial? In my experience the work enviroment readiness has been very beneficial, from project week. Why? The reason behind this is because I have had the opportunity to interact and collaborate. From different levels of experience to varying degrees of personalities. I can take this experience and apply it in future instances.

How does pair programming work?

According to www.codefellows.org, “Pair programming touches on all four skills: developers explain out loud what the code should do, listen to others’ guidance, read code that others have written, and write code themselves.”
